- My Father Is Still Alive: Aliu Mahama's Son

The son of the former Vice President of Republic of Ghana (Alhaji Aliu
Mahama), Farouk Aliu Mahama has revealed that his father is in stable
condition.
He however cautioned persons who were reporting that his father had
passed away to "keep their falsehood to themselves and try toget
factual facts before circulating information into the public."
His comments follow earlier media reports that Aliu Mahama had
died.Some reports also indicated that he was battling for his life at
the Cardio Center of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The former vice President has however been on admission at the
hospital for over a week. Speaking to Citi News from the hospital,
Farouk Aliu Mahama stated that his father was alive and in a stable
condition.
"Whatever they are speculating is not the truth so all I can say is
keep us in prayers. The man is alive and Allah will give him speedy
recovery and he will join all Ghanaians to thank them for their
support."
According to him, in Islam, it is a sign of long life when a person is
pronounced dead "and we know that Allah is the one who gives and takes
and with the prayers of all Ghanaians, Isha Allah, he is going to be
fine."
