Ghana's poet J.Y Frimpong surprised his readers and friends today by releasing an amazing spoken word piece entitled "VICE".
The spoken word industry seems to be highly competitive and the ability to express yourself and communicate even the surreal is the hallmark of every good point and that is what J.Y Frimpong did in his new piece dubbed "VICE".
This new piece was produced by Henry Deey and samples Lana Del Rey's titular track "Ultraviolence".
JYF talks about heartbreaks and an unrequited love to an unnamed narrator. The spoken word opens with "Her love was a vice and ends in the same fashion.
It sets itself apart from the previously released spoken word from J.Y.F and entertains rather than make us sad. The deadpan alto adds some artistic touch to it.
It is said to be the lead single from his upcoming album "J.Y.F". Listen to it below:
