I'm sure you might have heard of Obidi's famous catch phrase "you know say money no be problem".
Of course most of his raps either starts with this phrase or ends with it. I'm not in any way going to dispute that assumption he keeps making since I'm literally not in his pocket. Let's just say that's true for the purpose of this article -- why then does he make a track to tell his fans how poor he is. In his song "la borrow" Sarkodie reveals how he lives on borrowing from others, he then advices that nobody should envy him because he has nothing in his pocket -- you see the irony and deceit now. If "money no be problem" then is Obidi scared that people may come to him for financial help or is the pressure too much that he went ahead to make such a song?
