Ghanaian female celebrities are meant to look pretty and sexy. It is their job to be. However, when can you say that a celebrity has really gone overboard with her weight?

We are aware in some cases Models are meant to be skinny so that they can fit any clothing size. The rise in anorexic or bulimic models is already creating a huge concern in the fashion industry. But still, skinny models walk the runway. What about Ghanaian celebrities?

Some time back www.ThePrinceGhana.com reported of star actress Yvonne Nelson's sudden weight loss which she swiftly debunked such claims that she was suffering from anorexia, a medical condition that is characterized by an obsessive desire to lose weight by refusing to eat after an apparent weight gain.
From recent pictures,we can somewhat say that the screen diva is gradually putting on some weight.

It is however arguably true that some celebrities are genetically lean and thin,we can oddly pick out the Uncle Obama crooner,Deborah Vanessa, who also has a model-like feature or let's just say she has trimmed her body for modelling..

We've some other musicians like the 'obiaa ne ne taste' hitmaker,Dadie Opanka who constantly diss himself in his songs over the public's perception about his weight.
There are instances where he likened himself to looking just like 'Macroni' (noodles)

Why Is Being Underweight A problem?
The first is that being underweight is not healthy at all and second is that the whole world sees them. Being underweight is negative self-image and the young generation today will emulate such image.

We hope Readers of www.ThePrinceGhana.com can carry this piece of message across to them.. They should consider this as a Wake Up Call!!
