- Don’t Vote For NDC – Konadu Tells Voltarians
Posted by : Anonymous
Former First Lady and Wife of the NDC founder, Nana Konadu Agyemang
Rawlings has asked Voltarians to vote against the National Democratic
Party in the coming elections because they have nothing to give Ghana.
Mrs Rawlings who was speaking on a campaign platform for the party's
parliamentary candidates in the Volta Region indicated to the people
that both the NDC and the opposition NPP are morally at par and
therefore the people shouldn't take them serious.
"In 2008, all of us said poverty was eating us up, that the poverty
was too much for us, it was giving us a bath, it was clothing us and
putting powder on us.
We said we didn't want the poverty any more, we said the lies were too
many. The fear that people were putting into the country was too much,
the harassment was too much. So we all said we wanted a change. We did
change, only for the new people to be doing the same thing. The
stealing, the lies, disrespect, the fear… the same thing," she said.
Mrs. Rawlings also chastised the Electoral Commission for
disqualifying her from the race to the Presidency.
